THE IMPORTANCE OF SPAY/NEUTER
| This is probably the most successful way to reduce the
population of cats and dogs and other pets. Unless we control the pet
population, we will continue to see exploding numbers of unwanted animals.
There are already four-six million animals, cats, dogs, pets, killed in
shelters each year. Many others will never find a home. There are simply not
enough homes for all of the 60,000-70,000 kittens and dogs born each day let
alone other pets. Through spay/neuter we can drastically lower the numbers
of pets born and ultimately those killed in shelters. |

You can help. First, spay/neuter your own pets. Spread
the word to your family, friends and neighbors. Contribute to spay/neuter
programs in your area. These programs not only make spay/neuter available,
many try to make it affordable for lower income pet owners. |
